This position is a multi-functional role within the International Academic Programs (IAP), part of The International Division, serving as the main study abroad office at UW-Madison. IAP manages over 300 study abroad and domestic programs and internships, sending more than 3,000 students abroad annually. More information can be found at: http://www.studyabroad.wisc.edu.

1. Configures, integrates, administers, and provides consultation, project management, and operational support for complex applications with many users.
2. Anticipates issues and devises resolutions to support business operations.
3. Creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts to ensure application security.
4. Monitors application performance metrics, recommends, and implements corrective actions.
5. Troubleshoots hardware, software, and system problems, working with vendors as needed.
6. Participates in evaluating vendor software releases and impacts.
7. Coordinates updates, upgrades, and patches.
8. Recommends application enhancements, including custom designs and third-party integrations.
9. Participates in designing, developing, and implementing test and production objects, defining user requirements, and managing changes.
10. Develops and maintains system documentation and communicates updates.
11. Plans and directs staff on small to medium technical projects.
12. Communicates with leadership to assess system efficacy and discuss improvements.
13. Develops, prepares, and analyzes data related to office services, including website and social media usage, study abroad participants, and applications, incorporating campus data into reports.

• Manages the database system supporting IAP, including design and implementation.
• Administers web-based platforms for students, faculty, and staff involved in study abroad programs, overseeing website maintenance and integration.
• Acts as project manager for database and online system use, working with stakeholders to meet needs.
• Participates in strategic planning for database and online systems.
• Collaborates with campus units like DoIT, the Registrar, and Bursar's Office to support their needs.
• Participates in office committees and manages the system budget.
• Plans and supports website development, maintenance, and staff training.
• Provides general technology support and serves as a vendor contact, translating needs into technical solutions.
• Prepares and analyzes data on office services, incorporating campus data into reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required: Bachelor's Degree. Major in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, or related field preferred.

Full Time (100%). Some work may be onsite or remote.

Minimum $70,000, Maximum $80,000 annually, depending on qualifications.
