The role involves managing complex BI projects and mentoring team members. Our client is a leading Business Intelligence platform provider that delivers end‑to‑end solutions for reporting, analytics and data integration. They have engaged ROSS to recruit a Project Manager for their Consulting Services practice.
- Manage complex implementation, integration, enhancement or audit projects.
- Define production consulting scope, proposals, service engagements and demand creation.
- Manage and mentor Production Consultants assigned to a project.
- Work as part of a team with Sales, Sales Consultants and Director of Professional Services.
- Meet services revenue targets.
- May also serve as a senior‑level billable consultant when needed.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in business, technical or related field (preferred).
- 5 years Consulting or Management experience.
- Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Web, Client/Server and OLAP.
- Technical expertise in all areas of MicroStrategy functionality, as well as subject matter expertise in areas such as Databases, SDK, Architecture, Security and BI Planning.
- Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript).
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements.
- Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP.
- Timely delivery of all project related deliverables.
- Ability to position additional products and services into existing accounts.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience with implementation methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to build and deliver presentations to all levels of the business and effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language.
- Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants.Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Proven customer satisfaction abilities.
- Experience with RDBMS, datawarehousing, analytics or Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Cognos, Informatica, Hyper, SAS, Business Objects, Information Builders, Generation5, Angoss, Peregrine, g5, SPSS, Teradata, MicroStrategy, Netezza, ODESIA, etc.
