Playground is an internationally renowned gaming destination located a short 15-minute drive south of downtown Montreal, within the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake. We are expanding, unveiling new gaming floors, a luxurious hotel, and specialized dining options. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join our team.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday

Role responsibilities

The Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of all platforms supporting the company business applications. S/He will be responsible for the health and operations of our Windows and Linux based servers and storage systems with a focus on operational activities, proactive capacity management and event monitoring. He/She will be part of a collaborative team but also work individually on business and operations projects, seeing them through to completion.

Experience with: Proxmox, Pfsense, VMware ESXi, VLAN, Windows Server AD/DHCP/DNS, BIND, ISC-DHCP, SAMBA, Docker, Digital Ocean, VNC, Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS), MySQL, MSSQL server, Bash scripting

Assets if knowledgeable in the following: Ansible, Amazon AWS, Gitlab, Docker Swarm, Portainer, Traefik, LibreNMS, Galera Cluster, NAS(QNAP), PetaSAN, OpenVPN

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day system administration, including Active Directory, Windows, and Linux environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Triaging and responding to requests from users/stakeholders
• Maintain documentation regarding installation, configuration, operation and troubleshooting procedures
• Follow procedures, document, resolve and/or escalate incidents
• Design and implement new IT processes and architectures in support of business requirements
• Deliver on IT roadmap projects under your responsibility in a timely and efficient manner
• Troubleshoot complex problems by analyzing root causes and evaluating and proposing best options
• Coordinate installation and maintenance work with other business units/departments as needed
• Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• BAC or College Diploma in IT Systems Administrator/Engineering
• Experience with Linux operating systems
• Good Knowledge of monitoring tools such as LibreNMS, Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and/or Python
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible
• Experience working with Microsoft System Technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, KMS, DNS, DHCP and Server technologies based on Windows Server 2008 and newer
• Experience with large scale storage infrastructure
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet strict deadlines
• Must be self-motivated and able to complete tasks both independently and in teams
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Strong English written and verbal communication

L'administrateur de systèmes Linux sera responsable de la conception, de l'installation, de la configuration, de l'administration et de la maintenance de toutes les plateformes soutenant les applications commerciales de l'entreprise. Il/elle sera responsable de la santé et des opérations de nos serveurs et systèmes de stockage basés sur Windows et Linux en mettant l'accent sur les activités opérationnelles, la gestion proactive de la capacité et la surveillance des événements. Il/elle fera partie d'une équipe collaborative mais travaillera également individuellement sur des projets d'entreprise et d'exploitation, en les menant à bien.

Responsabilités

• Surveiller les performances de l'infrastructure et du réseau et assurer la disponibilité et la fiabilité du système.
• Triage et réponse aux demandes des utilisateurs/partenaires.
• Maintenir la documentation concernant les procédures d'installation, de configuration, d'exploitation et de dépannage
• Suivre les procédures, documenter, résoudre et/ou faire remonter les incidents
• Concevoir et mettre en oeuvre de nouveaux processus et architectures informatiques à l'appui des exigences commerciales
• Réaliser les projets de la feuille de route informatique sous votre responsabilité de manière efficace et en temps voulu
• Résoudre des problèmes complexes en analysant les causes profondes, en évaluant et en proposant les meilleures options
• Coordonner les travaux d'installation et de maintenance avec d'autres unités commerciales/départements, selon les besoins
• Se tenir au courant des tendances et des meilleures pratiques liées à l'industrie et au travail, notamment en lisant des publications, des articles, des blogs pertinents, etc.
• Autres tâches selon les besoins

Exigences:

• BAC ou diplôme d'études collégiales en administration/ingénierie des systèmes informatiques
• Expérience des systèmes d'exploitation Linux
• Bonne connaissance des outils de surveillance tels que LibreNMS, Prometheus et Grafana
• Expérience avec les langages de script tels que Bash, PowerShell, et/ou Python
• Connaissance des outils d'automatisation tels que Ansible
• Expérience de travail avec les technologies de système Microsoft, notamment Active Directory, Group Policy, KMS, DNS, DHCP et les technologies de serveur basées sur Windows Server 2008 et plus récent.
• Expérience de l'infrastructure de stockage à grande échelle
• Capacité à organiser et à hiérarchiser le travail pour respecter des délais stricts.
