What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and structure a high-performing team of 15+ research engineers, setting clear expectations and actively coaching
- Collaborate with customers and product leaders to shape the future of CoCounsel for Tax, Accounting, and Audit
- Drive the end-to-end model development lifecycle while partnering with a cross-functional team
- Oversee multiple large projects and initiatives across key product lines in Tax & Accounting
- Present work confidently to customers and other external venues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent; Master’s or PhD preferred
- 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in Machine Learning
- 5+ years of management experience coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Demonstrated experience integrating machine learning solutions into production-grade software
- Expertise in Python development and various libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, and Pandas
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 8+ years of management experience in software engineering
- Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) problems and tasks like Named Entity Recognition
- Hands-on experience in programming languages such as Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript
