A leading hospitality company in Toronto seeks a Porter responsible for venue setup and teardown before and after events. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, be dependable, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. This part-time role may require night shifts and the ability to work weekends.
The Porter is responsible for the set-up and tear down of the venue. This includes before, during, and after events, moving and placing items such as tables, chairs, decorations, and other needed items. The porter is accountable for maintaining the organization and upkeep of the event venue, which may occur during business and non-business hours with start times as early as 6am and end times as late as 3am (overnight shifts will also be required). The porter will work together with the servers to ensure overall venue success, whether that means helping with server duties and vice versa.
