Position: Night Shift Maintenance Technician

Since 2005, eCycle Solutions has been committed to protecting and improving our environment through safe, convenient, and cost-effective recycling methods for electronic and electrically powered assets. Our Maintenance team is currently looking for a seasoned Industrial Millwright Mechanic to help support our Mississauga during the NIGHT.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial mechanical systems in accordance with 433A Red Seal Millwright standards.
• Perform conveyor system rebuilding, repairs, and modifications, including belts, pulleys, rollers, gearboxes, drives, and guarding.
• Conduct precision alignment (shaft, belt, chain), leveling, and balancing of rotating equipment.
• Fabricate and modify mechanical components, frames, guards, chutes, and brackets using welding, cutting, and fitting techniques.
• Carry out structural and mechanical welding (MIG, Stick; TIG an asset) for repairs, modifications, and custom builds.
• Safely use oxy‑fuel cutting, plasma cutting, and grinding equipment.
• Demonstrate strong manual machining capabilities, including operation of manual lathes, vertical milling machines, and grinders.
• Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and conveyor layouts.
• Diagnose mechanical failures using vibration, measurement tools, and root‑cause analysis techniques.
• Install and maintain bearings, seals, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections with a focus on conveyor reliability and structural integrity.
• Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) to ensure tolerances are met.
• Follow lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work, and plant safety procedures.
• Work independently during night shift while coordinating effectively with operations and maintenance teams.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate repairs, rebuilds, and recommendations to supervision.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to conveyor performance and mechanical reliability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications:

• Valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) Red Seal Certification
• Welding ticket preferred (CWB or equivalent strongly considered an asset)
• Demonstrated experience in fabrication‑heavy millwright work and conveyor systems
• Strong manual machining skills on lathe, mill, and grinders
• Ability to work night shift in an industrial environment

Please Note that this position is a NIGHT Shift Sunday‑Thursday 10pm‑7am, however at the beginning few weeks you will be on day shift until training is completed.
