Job summary
A leading Canadian Bank is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 6-month contract. The candidate will manage the entire project cycle and require strong communication and risk management skills. This hybrid role is based in downtown Toronto, involving 2-3 days per week in-office presence. Relevant project management certification is essential.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end project management.
- Proven expertise in managing project financials and reporting.
- Strong experience in risk management and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Coach and mentor project managers and teams.
- Communicate with stakeholders and manage Executive SteerCo updates.

Education
Our client, a Top 5 Canadian Bank, is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager for a 6-month contract. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence at their downtown Toronto location (2-3 days per week).
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in end-to-end project management (initiation through closure).
- Proven expertise in managing project financials, reporting, and Executive SteerCo updates.
- Strong experience in risk management, issue resolution, and milestone tracking.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and guide project managers and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a Big 5 Canadian Bank or other large financial institutions.
- Degree/diploma in a related field of study.
- Knowledge of finance operations and systems.
