Overview
The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations and profitability of the establishment according to set goals and business objectives. Daily operations include staff management, customer satisfaction, neat product presentation, inventory management, and carrying out seasonal changes and promotional activities.

Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers professionally, setting an example for staff.
- Address and resolve customer complaints effectively, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security regulations and standards.
- Manage inventory efficiently to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Conduct scheduled inventory counts and provide reports.
- Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business to achieve targets within guidelines.
- Verify invoices against packaging slips and track expenditures.
- Ensure merchandise presentation is neat and items are correctly priced.
- Make informed purchasing decisions to maximize volume discounts.
- Provide management with sales, staffing, and productivity reports.
- Hold staff accountable for cash handling discrepancies.
- Balance sales, record receipts, and track revenue daily.
- Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
- Coordinate the ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories.
- Supervise staff and coordinate work to ensure productive operations at all hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Valid SellSafe Certification
- High school diploma and post-secondary or vocational training.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in retail.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Management experience preferred.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to train and motivate staff.
- Skills in monitoring staff performance.
- Basic office administration skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and sales software.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Culturally sensitive and diplomatic.
- Organized with good work planning skills.
- Flexible to work any shift, including nights, holidays, weekends, and various locations.
- Positive, professional attitude and meticulous record-keeping skills.
