Job Summary

Support Scientist –Toxicology

As a Support Scientist for our Toxicology team at the Sherbrooke location, you will be supporting the Study Director team.

In This Role, Primary Responsibilities Include

• To provide administrative support to Study Directors for data management and preparation of study protocols and study reports and assist in providing requested data/information. May also assist in the management of Quality Assurance (QA) audits.
• With guidance from Study Directors, assist in producing draft study protocols and amendments and may facilitate the sign-off/approval process for study protocols, amendments and other forms or documents required.
• Extraction of data for the preparation of updates to Sponsors.
• Creation/generation of special tables/graphs as support for the Sponsor/Study Director, as required.
• Assistance in drafting sections of documents and methods of reports.
• Perform quality control (QC) of draft reports and common technical documents (CTD).
• Assist in the management of quality assurance checks, respond to recommendations and ensure necessary corrections as directed by the Study Director.
• Provides editorial and formatting review of final protocols, edits and report text. Provides comments and/or suggested changes to Study Director.
  
  

Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

• Education: Minimum of a College Diploma in Natural Sciences or equivalent program, BSc in a life science will be preferrable.
• Ability to work autonomously and be very organized.
• Able to work under time constraints and possess the ability to deal with a variety of pressing issues on a regular basis in a rapidly changing environment.
• Bilingualism is required.

Role Specific Information

• Location: 1580 rue Ida-Métivier, Sherbrooke (Fleurimont), QC, J1E 0B5.
• Transportation: Easily accessible using Sherbrooke’s public transit system. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station.
• Salary: As per internal equity and salary scale
• Annual bonus based on performance.
• Schedule: Daytime between Monday to Friday. Depending on the needs and deadlines to be respected, you may have to do overtime.
• Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time minimum 37.5hrs per week.
