Job Responsibilities:
Two of Canada's Top 100 Restaurants, Nupo and Shokunin, are seeking experienced industry professionals/managers to develop into the GM role.
Restaurant Manager Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue and profits by developing, marketing, financing, and providing excellent restaurant service; manage staff.
Restaurant Manager Job Duties:
- Establish restaurant business plans through market research, community engagement, competitor analysis, and financial projections.
- Attract customers via marketing, advertising, and community relations; evaluate and adapt programs based on results.
- Maintain operations by implementing policies, procedures, and standards for production, quality, and customer service; improve systems as needed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of food, beverage, and service quality; foster relationships with key patrons.
- Achieve restaurant goals by recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing staff; communicate expectations; assess performance; oversee compensation and enforce policies.
- Manage budgets, inventory, and cost controls for front and back of house.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to sanitation standards, health regulations, and security protocols.
- Stay informed on industry trends by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and benchmarking best practices.
- Contribute to company success by taking ownership of new initiatives and adding value to the role.
Skills and Qualifications:
Preferred experience in fine dining, knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, financial planning, decision-making, process improvement, strategic planning, customer focus, management skills, profitability management, quality assurance, and attention to detail.

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
