SummaryWapiti Gravel Suppliers, a division of NPA Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic,APPRENTICE WELDER (3rd, or 4th year)to work full-time in our Grande Prairie location.
Key Responsibilities- Understanding of welding tools and equipment
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of safety procedures, basic welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick), and blueprint reading
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of advanced welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding symbols
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of welding fabrication, repair processes, and non-destructive testing methods
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of complex welding procedures and project management skills
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Other duties as required
- 3rd or 4th year apprentice welder
- 2 years of prior working experience is an asset
- Physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis
- Knowledge of various types of construction equipment is an asset
- Prior experience working within a paving company is a definite asset
- Must comply with Drug and Alcohol testing requirements
- Ability to work overtime as required
