Job description

Arobas Personnel is looking for a Scrum Master for a contract opportunity with one of our clients based in Montréal.

Remote: Hybrid-3 days/week in the office

What will your day look like?

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Guide the team in applying Agile, Scrum, and Kanban practices to meet customer needs.
• Help the team maximize self-organization and improve performance at a sustainable pace.
• Foster a safe and trusting environment where issues can be raised without fear, focusing on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Support the team in removing roadblocks and ensuring progress.
• Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Assist the Product Owner with backlog grooming and prioritization.
• Monitor and report on the team’s progress.
• Coach and support the team to achieve their goals.
• Must be available on-site according to company policy (currently 3 days/week).

Required Skills & Competencies

• First-level Scrum Master Certification.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement skills.
• Knowledge of SAFe framework.
• Hands-on knowledge of Scrum and Kanban practices (e.g., burndown charts, retrospectives, bug handling).
• Strong focus on sprint and feature delivery.
• Excellent ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.
• Autonomous, self-motivated, and able to lead and inspire teams.
• Bilingual (French & English) required for Montréal; not mandatory in Toronto.
• Experience leading web and mobile development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Scrum and SAFe in practice.
• Knowledge of native app development and/or web development.

Assets

• Project management knowledge.
• Familiarity with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration/Testing, Pair Programming, Automated Testing, Agile Games, Kanban.
