As an Assurance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service
- Leading coaching and performance management for direct reports, including goal-setting, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Participating in recruitment processes such as interviews and assessments
- Planning, leading, and executing client engagements across various industries and reporting frameworks, ensuring clear communication of client needs
- Managing work assignments and performance of engagement team members, being accountable for outcomes
- Applying strategies to deliver profitable services, influencing KPIs, and maximizing engagement profitability through resource utilization
- Proactively solving problems with engagement teams and clients
- Sharing leadership in fostering Grant Thornton’s culture and contributing to business planning
- Identifying and supporting new business opportunities by understanding firm services and client relationships
- Enhancing our reputation as preferred business advisors in key sectors

Qualifications:
- CPA (CPA, CA; CPA, CMA; or CPA, CGA) accreditation
- Completed post-secondary degree/diploma
- Minimum 4 years experience in public accounting or related industry
- Strong technical knowledge in audit, assurance, accounting, and tax
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills with analytical ability
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including coaching and development
- Proficiency with MS Office and accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxPrep, Sage, QuickBooks)

Our salary range for this role in Prince George is $78,000 - $100,000, with variations based on location and experience.
