Provides and coordinates nursing care according to current standards and the Clinical Specialty of Critical Care & Emergency Care Nursing. Clinical experience in Emergency is required to work independently in this setting.

Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

The new Ksyen Regional Hospital welcomed its first patients on November 24, 2024. It features 82 beds, private rooms, and specializes in trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, clinical support, and pharmacy services. It is also a training site for medical students in the Northern Medical Program.

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN.
• Minimum two years of medical/surgical experience and/or Post Diploma Certificate in Critical Care or Emergency Nursing, or equivalent experience. Applicants without formal Emergency/Critical Care training will need to enroll in a course within 6 months.
• CPR (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification or willingness to complete within 1 year.

• Ability to manage equipment for critical and acute care patients.
• Physical ability to perform duties.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Assist in orientation of new personnel.
• Organize and prioritize work effectively.
