Responsibilities
System Administration
- Design, install, configure, and administer SAP systems and databases in a private cloud (SAP RISE with IBM Cloud).
- Manage and support SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP PO/PI, SAP BTP, Disclosure Management (DM), SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ/AFO), GRC, MDG, and BPC environments.
- Administer transport management, SAP Basis standard jobs, print management, and batch job scheduling (Opswise).
- Deep knowledge of Computer networks, firewall port etc.
- Perform system integrations, migrations, refreshes, and client copies.
- Implement and manage SAP Router setup, SSO configuration, and secure connectivity between workstations and SAP systems.
- Configure cloud-to-cloud connectivity and integration with non-SAP systems (e.g., Esker, ZipHQ, Concur).
- Perform upgrade impact analysis and execute system/application upgrades for S/4 HANA, BOBJ/AFO, DM, and PIPO.
- Apply SAP core patches, security patches, and address SAP‑released vulnerabilities.
- Manage certificates renewals and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with SAP RISE team to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, including SAP/HANA/OS memory management.
- Troubleshoot complex issues such as lockouts, work process failures, job terminations, and network/application performance problems.
- Conduct performance analysis and tuning for all SAP systems.
- Administer Solution Manager, including ChaRM and CTS+ for change and transport management.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Liaise with other IT teams to analyze and resolve cross-platform issues.
- Manage projects, ensuring deliverables are met within deadlines.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise
- Proven hands‑on experience administering SAP Basis in a private cloud S/4 HANA environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules: S/4 HANA, Fiori, PO/PI, BTP, DM, BOBJ/AFO, GRC, MDG, and BPC.
- Experience with SAP RISE operations and collaboration with managed service providers.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, including agent installations (Opswise), print servers, and central file servers.
- Experience with database administration (SAP HANA preferred).
- Familiarity with SLD administration and archiving of technical objects.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex SAP system issues across application, database, and network layers.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Certifications
