Pine Bungalows is located just minutes from downtown Jasper.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, responsible for training, supervising and motivating maintenance staffManage Maintenance logbook, be accountable to record jobs that have been completedCompetently assess importance of various jobs and prioritizeCompleting a wide variety of Maintenance tasks, when skilled/competent to do so (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, septic, carpentry, etc.)Operating bob catEmptying and disposing of garbage, processing of recyclingCutting, weeding, and watering lawn and plantsCutting and distributing firewoodFollow all safety policies, department policies and proceduresBe versatile and able to react to situations as they occurSmall jobs on behalf of our guests as required (ie: boosting vehicles)Replace tools as they are used and ensure that they are in good working conditionConsistently offer professional and friendly service, acknowledge all guestsRespond to any guest enquiries by answering directly or forwarding their enquiry to Front DeskKeep all areas neat and tidyWork with minimal supervisionQualifications:Previous Maintenance Supervisory experience requiredA wide variety of Maintenance skills is advantageous (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, septic, carpentry, bobcat, etc.)Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language an assetProficient at printing and writing in EnglishPrevious customer related maintenance experience preferredMust possess a professional presentationStrong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of the Position (include but are not limited to):· Frequent standing and walking through shift.· Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.· Must be able to carry and lift loads of up to 50lbs on a regular basis.· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsShifts:· Full time – approximately 40 hours per week, based on seasonal demand· Shift work – Day, Evening, Weekend· Two consistent regular days off are almost always providedStaff Accommodation:· Staff Accommodation is available on-siteVisa Requirements:· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
