Job summary
A local government authority in Fort McMurray is looking for dedicated Community Peace Officers to enhance public safety and enforce municipal bylaws. This role involves patrols, enforcing laws, and engaging with the community to maintain safety and compliance. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have relevant law enforcement experience, and must be willing to work varied shifts and outdoor conditions. Essential qualifications also include maintaining an RCMP security clearance and an Emergency First Aid Certificate.
Qualifications
- Must have Community Peace Officer appointment through the Alberta Solicitor General.
- Emergency First Aid Certificate with AED required.
- Ability to acquire and maintain an RCMP enhanced reliability security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Enforce municipal bylaws and respond to complaints.
- Compile records and maintain files.
- Conduct community patrols and attend events.
