Job summary
A manufacturing company in Peel Region, Brampton, is seeking a skilled welder to operate welding equipment and interpret blueprints. The ideal candidate should have a secondary school graduation certificate and 2-3 years of relevant experience. This is a permanent full-time position offering $36.00 hourly for 30 to 35 hours per week. The role requires working on-site with the ability to handle heavy loads and operate metal shaping machines. Interested applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience in welding and metal manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
- Flexibility and organization skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual or automated welding equipment.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints and specifications.
- Examine welds to ensure they meet standards.
- Operate metal shaping machines.
- Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.

- Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
- Fit, braze and torch‑straighten metal
- Determine weldability of materials
- Operate previously set‑up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- Operate previously set‑up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
