Work Schedule: Rotating Shift Schedule

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs routine analyses and collects samples in accordance with the established Sample Plan.
• Prepares and performs basic calibrations and preventative maintenance on analytical systems and standards.
• Monitors system performance, evaluates data validity using basic statistical tools, interprets results, and takes appropriate action or escalates as needed.
• Identifies and troubleshoots first-line analytical system issues, escalating complex problems to appropriate team members.
• Documents, communicates, and archives analytical results, calibration data, and maintenance records accurately.
• Recommend improvements to laboratory processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or similar, plus some experience working in a lab, factory, or similar setting.
• Some college classes in chemistry or a related subject are a plus.
• This is a safety-sensitive position. Successful candidates may be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company policy and applicable Canadian laws.
• Subject to successful completion of pre-employment screening, including background check where permitted by law.
• Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
