This volunteer role involves creating compelling content to amplify the voices of those affected by pancreatic cancer. Ideal candidates will have strong writing skills and experience in content management. You will contribute to a mission-driven organization, highlighting advocacy efforts and improving healthcare visibility. Flexible commitment of 3-5 hours per week, with a minimum 3-month commitment preferred.
The Heather Cutler Foundation is a federally incorporated non-profit organization based in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. Founded by Heather’s family after experiencing firsthand the challenges of navigating pancreatic cancer care, the Foundation is driven by a commitment to real change rather than bureaucracy. The leadership includes advocates and professionals with deep ties to their community and a passion for healthcare reform.
Volunteers, guest authors, and partners are welcomed to join the Foundation’s efforts—whether through direct service, campaign support, or sharing personal experiences to inspire and inform others.
Are you a passionate storyteller with a drive to create real-world change? The Heather Cutler Foundation is seeking a Content Specialist to join Team Heather and help amplify the voices of people affected by pancreatic cancer in Canada.
In this volunteer role, you’ll shape our digital narrative through compelling content that resonates with Millennial and Gen Z audiences. From social posts to advocacy briefs, your creativity will honor Heather’s legacy and advance our mission to close the gap in pancreatic cancer care—especially for those living in underserved provinces.
Founded in memory of Heather Cutler, a dedicated nurse who bravely confronted the realities of pancreatic cancer in Canada’s healthcare system, our Foundation exists to tell the stories that often go unheard. We prioritize authenticity over optics and believe in advocacy grounded in experience and urgency. This is a chance to use your storytelling power for impact—not vanity metrics.
The Heather Cutler Foundation is a Canadian nonprofit committed to changing the story of pancreatic cancer. From expanding access to clinical trials to championing molecular profiling, we advocate for systemic change and patient-centered care across all provinces. We are proudly based in Newfoundland and Labrador and fight every day to ensure that geography doesn’t decide your outcome.
