Job description

Role: Active Directory Administrator

Location: Halifax, CA (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Engineer with a strong background in identity and access management, including GMSA (Group Managed Service Accounts), LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution), and PowerShell scripting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AD migrations, security hardening, and enterprise-scale Active Directory environments.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • 8+ years of experience in Active Directory engineering and administration
  • Proven track record in implementing and managing:
    • Group Managed Service Accounts (GMSA)
    • Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS)
  • Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation, auditing, and administrative tasks
  • Experience with Active Directory migrations and domain consolidations across environments
  • In-depth knowledge of Group Policy, OU structure design, delegation models, and AD replication troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with IAM/PAM concepts, including role-based access control and directory integrations

Preferred / Optional Skills

  • Experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux system administration
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Security-first mindset with attention to access governance
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, infra, application owners)
  • Clear communicator and documentation-driven approach
