Automation Tester

Work Location: Halifax, NS (Permanent remote)

The ideal candidate will be expected to have experience with test case automation software for API test cases. We will expect him/her to:

1. Selenium (with C# is preferred; Java would also work) & Playwright experience is preferred.
2. Have a thorough knowledge of Postman and how to utilize it to validate API capabilities.
3. Have a working understanding of Splunk and how to analyze/troubleshoot Splunk log files.
4. Have a basic understanding of ForgeRock, FR trees, how errors get logged, how to identify them.

Description: The Automation Tester thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements. The Automation Tester performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.

The Automation Tester isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Decisions are typically focused on methods, tactics, and processes for completing administrative tasks/projects. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques, and works under limited guidance due to previous experience/breadth and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma
2. Years of technical experience
3. Less than years of leadership experience
4. Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
