Software Engineer
Aurora, CO
1 year contract
A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of relevant software engineering experience; active TS/SCI prior to start date.
- In this role, you will join a small, highly-focus team working to develop and maintain signal processing applications for use in a real-time operational environment.
- The team members are multi-disciplined and contribute across all phases of systems engineering, software development, integration and test, and metrics.
- The team works closely with operations personnel to meet unique and continuously changing development needs.
- Lead program's baseline modernization efforts.
- Provide technical direction and design to software agile development teams, and other engineering personnel.
- Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers.
- Generate software cost and schedule estimates to support future development bids using techniques such as parametric analysis of SLOC, hours, or other metrics
- Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
- Software lifecycle practices on defense projects.
- Advance software technologies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Experience as a Software Architect.
- Experience developing software using Java or C++.
- Experience with cloud environments and Kubernetes.
- Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or Kafka.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with System Engineering processes such as requirements management, use case development, and trade studies.
- Experience with Cameo Modeling using Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Experience with the SAFe Agile software development methodology.
- An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance prior to start is also acceptable. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with SIGINT, Digital Communication, or digital signal processing software development.
- Experience programming solutions in C++, Java, Python, and GO.
- Experience with Cameo Modeling using the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Development, and automated test.
- Experience with Atlassian Tools.
