JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

As part of the CQI team, the Data Assistant will join data and compliance efforts from planning stages through execution of the data and compliance and testing processes. Participates in the effective systems for continuous improvement throughout VOALA and the communities served.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist Business systems and data team and program staff with identifying metrics for program compliance and data needs.
  • Assist with creation of analytic data and compliance models based on meetings with program staff, in order to initiate compliance and data systems.
  • Conduct data collection at program sites.
  • Conduct business and data systems analyses as directed by Senior Evaluation Manager.
  • Assist CQI team with preparation program evaluation reports, annual reports and other evaluation‑related documents.
  • Perform other tasks as may be required by Senior Business and Data Systems Analyst and/or supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Assists development of systems (electronic and hard copy) for the gathering, quality assurance, and storage of all project data. Assists program staff use of these systems; participates in interviews with end‑users to analyze and document program requirements; assists preparation of user manuals, flow charts, training materials, and various technical documents; provides technical assistance and training to end‑users.
  • Assists the preparation of written and visual summaries of data to convey results to stakeholders including program reports, annual reports, dashboards and other compliance and/or data systems related documents. Keeps up to date on best practices for data visualization.
  • Assists stakeholders across the organization as well as with external partners to implement plans.
  • Performs Data projects to support Grant Development.
  • Travel as needed regarding the above duties.
  • Other duties as required and may be subject to change.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications.
  • Valid California driver license and access to dependable transportation with adequate insurance.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, evaluation, public health or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
  • One-year Experience in a Data lab and/or with a Data project.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge on any of the following statistical software: SPSS, R, Atlas TI.
  • Training on making data accessible to all stakeholders.
