About the Role

Our client, a well-established North American corporate group with diverse operations and investments, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their financial reporting team. This role is critical to supporting the consolidation process, audit management, and preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the financial consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, opening balance rollovers, and retained earnings adjustments for entities with non-standard fiscal year-ends
• Manage accounting and reporting activities for multiple corporate entities
• Assist with interim and year-end audit processes, working closely with external auditors
• Prepare consolidated financial statements with accompanying note disclosures
• Collaborate with tax teams on reporting requirements and inquiries
• Participate in budgeting activities, including corporate and consolidated budget input
• Prepare quarterly consolidated management reporting, including cash flow analysis
• Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and internal controls

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 2+ years of relevant financial reporting and consolidation experience
• Proven experience working with external auditors and supporting audit processes
• Strong financial analysis skills and experience preparing financial statements and note disclosures
• Knowledge of US GAAP is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience with financial reporting software such as Prophix and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail
