Job Description

Manage a diverse portfolio of business management, strategy and storytelling activities within TD Data, driving awareness, connectivity, and alignment across processes, initiatives and priorities to help TD Data its main objective: Deliver fast, trusted data at a lower cost to our stakeholders across the Bank. This role interfaces regularly with executive management in the delivery of work activities.

Key Accountabilities
  • Help drive the strategic direction of TD Data and play a key role in the implementation, adoption, and ongoing evolution of the TD Data-level strategy, supported by the team-level strategies within the hub and the spokes embedded in the business
  • Plan, lead and/or manage a diverse set of work activities requiring alignment across multiple areas
  • Review end-to-end processes and initiatives to "connect the dots" across various teams to increase standardization of solutions and alignment
  • Strengthen the team's strategic storytelling capabilities to drive increased awareness, understanding and buy-in to the TD Data mandate and offerings, including a focus on executive-level resonance and real business impact and value
  • Provide strategic support for one of TD Data executive leaders and their team's strategic needs as part of overall portfolio
  • Establish effective relationships and close collaboration with key TD Data partners including BMG, HR, Finance, Change/Communications, and other partners
  • Develop and maintain a strong, high-level understanding of key initiatives, priorities, and activities across the department, ensuring a broad line of sight that enables effective strategic alignment, informed decision-making, and proactive identification of opportunities and risks
  • Proactively monitor to ensure programs / policies / practices are well managed, meet business needs / priorities, and comply with internal / external requirements
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving opportunities in data and AI that can influence, impact, and / or strengthen the TD Data strategy for the Bank and how we service our internal stakeholders
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for TD Data and the Bank, while fostering and promoting the unique culture that TD Data strives to cultivate across its teams
  • Collaborate and foster synergies with key partners such as Communications, BMG, Change Management, TDSA partners and the TD Data Senior Leadership Team to enable the success of its strategy and deliveries
Key Assets & Experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate leadership as part of a small but mighty TD Data Strategy & Portfolio Management team
  • Strong Presentation and Storytelling experience (skilled in creating executive-ready decks, narratives and ability to simplify complex technical information into clear business stories)
  • Baseline knowledge of data at TD and key organizational practices - or the passion and curiosity to learn new subject matter!
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness and strength in providing guidance and influencing teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains.
  • Proven ability to perform or even thrive / adapt in an ever-changing, fast-moving environment, remaining flexible, creative-minded and adaptable
  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
