Job Summary
*** This location has a $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS as well as a $5,000 annual location stipend ***
Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company-operated aircraft and articles as assigned, in accordance with Air Methods’ policies and procedures. Ensures company operational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation complies with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals. At this base, you will be working on EC135 aircraft.
Location Details
Moundsville is located in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, approximately:
- 13 miles south of Wheeling, WV
- 60 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, PA
- 140 miles east of Columbus, OH
Its proximity to the Ohio River and location near major highways make it a convenient spot for exploring the Northern Panhandle and the larger Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Verify component and assembly installations or removals by physical inspection or markings, ensuring part number and serial number match documentation.
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance documentation complies with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies, procedures, and maintenance manuals, including specific chapters.
- Participate in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and be familiar with SMS policies, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
- Correct compliance or safety issues as directed by company leadership.
- Advise the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues affecting aircraft serviceability.
- Validate data in the Status Report for aircraft worked on.
- Request aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate inventory for operational readiness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
- Provide timely on-call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
- Maintain regular scheduled attendance.
- Travel 25-50% support of Part 135 operations and company objectives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED, with 2-5 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent.
- Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
- FAR 135 operations experience preferred.
Skills
- Electrical troubleshooting and vibration balancing.
- Sheet metal and composite repair procedures.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as 337’s, Service Bulletins, AD’s, etc.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a professional attitude.
- Flexible schedule including overtime and on-call rotation.
- Proficient with manuals and vendor data navigation.
- Ability to learn and utilize the ERP system (Ramco).
- Strong communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Computer Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ramco experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- FAA A&P License in good standing.
