Job summary
A regional health provider in Ontario is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in a variety of pharmacy tasks. Responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile preparations, drug distribution, and inventory management. This is an entry-level role with a competitive hourly wage ranging from CA$16.00 to CA$23.00, providing opportunities to work across multiple locations.
Qualifications
- Entry level position requiring attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting may be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Perform sterile and non-sterile preparations.
- Handle unit dose pre-packaging and drug distribution.
- Issue narcotics and manage supplies.
- Travel to offsite locations for inventory refills.
Skills
In collaboration with the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician performs a variety of clerical, pharmaceutical and general duties in the Pharmacy and other areas. Responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile preparations, unit dose pre-packaging and drug distribution, narcotic issue, purchasing and receiving supplies, dispensing first dose unit doses, bin filling unit doses, refilling of automated dispensing cabinets, and extemporaneous preparations. Travel to offsite units, known as the RCU, to provide Omnicell refill and patient specific doses.
