Maintenance Engineer Technician
Position Summary
As a Maintenance Engineer Technician at Regal Rexnord, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The technician handles preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and supports the production team to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Salary Range: $25 - $30/hour
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 5:00 am – 3:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Work safely, respecting environmental health safety guidelines (cardinal rules).
- Carry out corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, including setup, adjustments, and modifications.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Identify parts for replacement based on equipment manuals and parts information.
- Make modifications and improvements to production and building equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering/management to implement process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Assist in maintaining the building (changing light bulbs, basic welding, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.).
- Communicate effectively with management and operators in person and via email.
- Prioritize tasks daily with guidance from Maintenance Supervisor or Production Manager.
- Maintain inventory and condition of provided tools.
- Adhere to Regal Rexnord 6s methodology (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety).
- Repair and maintain machinery/equipment (motors, pumps, belts, fans, a/c, etc.).
- Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts.
- Install piping for compressed air, gas, steam, condensate, water, and sewer systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, part replacement, alignment checks, adjustments, and diagnostics.
- Assist supervisors and engineers in selecting replacement parts, tools, and equipment.
- Communicate with internal and external contacts to resolve issues and collaborate on procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace per company policies and 5s standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills Required
- Associate’s or Technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial fields.
- Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Plumbing, HVAC, or refrigeration licenses/certifications are a plus.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
- Experience using hand and power tools (provided by company).
- Basic welding/fabrication skills preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Willingness to learn and understand operation of process-specific equipment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency with CMMS (record keeping, equipment history, preventive maintenance, downtime).
- Ability to work at heights up to four feet.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; forklift and platform lift experience helpful.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to read technical material and write basic maintenance records.
- Basic arithmetic, measurement skills, and ability to use various measurement tools.
- Welding repairs and fabrication knowledge is a bonus.
- Proficient with pneumatic systems and components.
- Ability to start/stop/control machines with appropriate guidance.
- Ability to solve diverse, complex problems and adapt standard practices as needed.
- Strategic thinking, planning, and time management skills.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends, to support customer needs.
- Must provide a complete set of hand tools; specialty tools supplied by Regal Rexnord.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements
- 40-50 hours per week depending on production demands
- Overtime may be required, including Saturdays
- Must be able to traverse the production facility
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
