A global mining services company in Ontario is seeking a Mine Engineer Supervisor to oversee planning and implementation of mining operations. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering and experience in leadership roles within a hard-rock open pit environment. Thiess is accepting applications for the role of Mine Engineer Supervisor located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The Mine Engineer Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all phases of the short-term planning processes to ensure they are conducted in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Unique role requirements include experience in the design and scheduling of truck and excavator operations and in liaison with operational personnel to deliver successful implementation of designs and short-term schedules. The role will also provide geological and technical support to assist in the successful management of the project to deliver project and branch objectives. This position also provides oversight and leadership/mentorship to Geologists on site as their direct supervisor.
