Job summary
A leading firearms manufacturer in Abu Dhabi is seeking an entry-level Machining Operator. The role involves adhering to operational policies, loading/unloading parts, and performing tool changes. Ideal candidates should have a technical diploma and 2 years of machining experience. Proficiency in English and Arabic is required. - Adhere to all policies and procedures related to Operations department.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures and work processes.
- Perform the following activities on daily basis as per instruction from the machining supervisor:
- Receive job assignment from machining supervisor at the start of the shift
- Ensure all material, documentation and tooling to perform the job are available
- Load and unload parts to the machine
- Perform tool offset adjustments
- Activation of current loaded NC Program upon confirmation of the machining supervisor
- Perform tool changes with measurement and edit the tool library
- Report the daily output and ensure to fill the required documentation
- Perform de-burring and bench work as required.
- Carry out product measurement (WSI worker self-inspection) and ensure product conformity.
- Report any reject, issue, error and non-conformity immediately to the machining supervisor.
- Fill the actual output data in the production order.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Follow the daily maintenance work-instruction/checklist to ensure that the machine will remain clean and operational.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Remove and clean the chip bin, regularly.
- Add coolant to the machine, on regular intervals.
- Manufacture parts following the technical instructions from manufacturing engineer, CAD/CAM engineer and machine setup technician.
- Handover finished and validated parts to the following sequence in the production order.
- Work within the limits of authority as defined by the Machining Supervisor.
- Take responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks involved in your specific job capacity within the organization.
- Actively participate in EHS initiatives and other safety related teams in the organization.
- Technical Diploma in the relevant field is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical /Production) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in machining in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of small weapon production and manufacture
- Knowledge of production policies and procedures
- CNC Machines Working Knowledge
- English and Arabic language skills (Oral and written)
