Job summary
A leading IT firm in Dubai is looking for a Help Desk Support Specialist to manage desktop installations and provide technical assistance to end users. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Computer Science, 4 years of IT experience, and relevant hardware certifications like A+. This role includes monitoring service tickets, managing software installations, and keeping accurate reports of IT resources. Proficiency in English is required, and ITIL certification is a plus.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science is required.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant IT experience.
- A+ certification is essential.
- ITIL certification is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide help desk support to end users.
- Process tickets based on priority.
- Manage installations for various devices.
- Maintain software installations and configurations.
- Keep an inventory of software and licenses.
- Report issues for escalation as needed.
Skills
Education
- Provide help desk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
- Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in, first-out based on priority.
- Manage installation of end-user requirements on laptops/PCs/Thin Clients/iPads and printers.
- Manage all desktop software installations.
- Modify configuration, utilities, and software default settings for local workstations and laptops.
- Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
- Report issues to the Service Desk Manager for escalation.
Provide documentation and relevant reports to the Service Desk Manager.

BSc in Computer Science
