A leading project management firm is seeking an experienced Environment Manager to oversee environmental aspects of projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guide environmental planning and assessments. Key responsibilities include coordinating with teams, managing environmental initiatives, and monitoring compliance. Applicants should have at least 10 years of experience and a degree in a related field, along with strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of UAE environmental guidelines.
Qualifications

- Preconstruction environmental design and planning experience required.
- Broad knowledge across environmental disciplines essential.

Hill International are seeking an experienced and highly organized Environment Manager to join our team and oversee the environmental aspects of the company portfolio of projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are aligned with the relevant environmental regulations and guidelines environmental policies and procedures as well as minimizing the impact of the project on the environment.
This role requires responsibility for environmental planning assessment and compliance along with identifying and establishing environmental initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams as well as liaising with consultants and contractors to implement environmental strategies and programs and monitoring progress to ensure targets are met.
- Identify environmental planning philosophies and requirements at design stage.
- Identify environmental assessment requirements relevant to projects and ensure engagement of appropriate reputable environmental consultants for the works.
- Ensure compliance of policies and guidelines and authority permit conditions.
- Ensure that all project personnel are aware of and adhere to environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development of biodiversity conservation plans and habitat restoration strategies to enhance ecological connectivity protect sensitive habitats and promote species diversity within development areas.
- Help in creating a sustainability culture within the company departments.
- Bachelors degree in an environment related field such as Environmental Science Biology Geology etc.
- 1012 years of experience with a minimum 3 years in a senior environmental management role.
- Preconstruction environmental design and planning experience.
- Broad knowledge base across all environmental disciplines.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a big picture understanding.
- Specialist in an environmental discipline (Air Quality Noise Hydrogeology etc.)
- Proficient in using GIS software including ArcMap QGIS or other related tools.
- Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi & UAE environmental regulations and guidelines
- Experience in the context of Real Estate Development.
