Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking an Environmental Engineer to implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan in Abu Dhabi. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field, along with five years of experience in Oil & Gas projects. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, preparing GHG reduction plans, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards is preferred. This is a full-time position with no remote work options.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
  • NEBOSH Environmental / ISO 14001 certification (preferred).
  • ADNOC Approval is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in line with ADNOC and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, monitoring, and audits at site.
  • Preparation of GHG reduction Plan and implementation.
  • Waste Management and Bolisity management.
  • Ensure compliance with waste management, spill prevention, emissions, and wastewater controls.
  • Carry out environmental risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and submit environmental reports, records, and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and authorities on environmental matters.
  • Promote environmental awareness and support sustainability initiatives at site.

Skills

Knowledge of ADNOC environmental standards and UAE regulations
Understanding of Oil & Gas construction and operational environmental risks
Strong reporting, inspection, and compliance monitoring skills
Good communication and coordination abilities

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline
