Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Dubai is searching for an experienced professional to oversee daily operations and maintenance of telecom and power systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 15-20 years of relevant experience, demonstrating leadership in project management and technical oversight. This role requires strong project management skills, team leadership, and the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
- 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in the telecommunication and/or power industries.
- Proven leadership in operations, project management, and technical oversight.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of electrical mechanical and telecom power systems.
- Coordinate installation and upgrade projects with Head Office consultants and contractors.
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and project timelines.
- Monitor project progress and support resolution of technical issues.
- Supervise installation testing and ensure compliance with standards.
- Lead preventive maintenance activities and manage system faults.
- Contribute to strategic planning for maintenance and operations.
Skills
Education
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of electrical mechanical and telecom power systems including AC units and E&M infrastructure.
- Coordinate installation and upgrade projects with Head Office consultants and contractors.
- Prepare technical specifications cost estimates and project timelines aligned with design standards.
- Monitor project progress generate reports and support resolution of technical issues.
- Supervise installation testing and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Lead preventive maintenance activities and manage rectification of major system faults.
- Contribute to strategic planning for maintenance and operations in line with regional policies.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in the telecommunication and/or power industries.
- Proven leadership in operations project management and technical oversight.
- Project management and team leadership.
- Tendering technical evaluation and contract negotiation.
- Budgeting financial planning and cost control.
- Telecom engineering knowledge and system integration.
- Market awareness and business acumen.
- Familiarity with telecom products and services.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and professional networking.
