A leading agribusiness group based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Director of Procurement and Supply Chain. The role involves managing procurement and logistics operations and requires extensive experience in agricultural operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, experience in project management and contract negotiation, and a relevant degree, preferably with an MBA. This position is full-time and on-site.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of senior management experience, with at least 5 years at a Director level.
- 5-10 years of experience in sourcing agricultural goods and services.
- Extensive experience with mature and integrated ERP environments.
- Experience in corporate settings with a focus on governance and compliance.
Responsabilités
- Manage daily procurement, contracts, logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Oversee fresh produce pack house management.
- Coordinate with external suppliers and other directors.
- Ensure seamless operations across all units.

An Abu Dhabi-based group engaged in Agribusiness operates both within the UAE and internationally, emphasizing high-quality production, innovative technology, and efficient resource use.
This full-time, on-site position for a Director of Procurement and Supply Chain involves managing daily procurement, contracts, logistics, and warehouse operations, as well as overseeing fresh produce pack house management.
The candidate will ensure seamless operations across all units, coordinating with external suppliers and other directors. They will provide necessary support using qualified resources.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in agricultural operations and projects, including setup of greenhouses and net houses, open field operations, irrigation systems, and agricultural machinery. A key skill required is process design and optimization in agricultural operations.
The candidate must also be adept at financial planning, evaluating project documents, and estimating cash requirements based on supplier needs and existing credit terms.
- BSc Degree in Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Economics preferred; MBA is a plus.
- Certifications in Agricultural Operations are desirable.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CSCP, SCOR-P, CLTD) are advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years of senior management experience, with at least 5 years at a Director level.
- 5-10 years of experience in sourcing agricultural goods and services.
- Extensive experience with mature and integrated ERP environments in large-scale operations.
- Experience in corporate settings with a focus on governance, compliance, and process standards.
- Extensive experience in contract negotiation, procurement, and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Proven project management experience, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
