A Laboratory and Stability Technician for our Application Lab team and based in our Dubai office Your future position

As an Applications Laboratory & Stability Technician based in Dubai you will be responsible for preparation of fragrance applications in different bases meeting the needs of the creative and development teams and study of stability of fragrance formulations in product base.

• Prepare fragrance application samples in various bases ensuring they align with the needs of the creative and development teams while upholding the highest standards of quality and accuracy under supervision.
• Manage customer bases internal base and packaging materials ensuring optimal levels are maintained and everything is organized.
• Take ownership of sample requests by ordering oils preparing application samples and collaborating with the development team to ensure project completion.
• Proficient in operating lab instruments in accordance with Givaudans safety standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lab work experiments and results.
• Prepare reports to document testing results observations and recommendations.
• Perform physical and chemical measurements to evaluate fragrance properties and performance.
• Under supervision contribute to solving issues related to the application of fragrance in products and help improve existing formulations.

• Develop and perform stability tests as requested by the development team to evaluate the longterm performance and integrity of fragrance formulations.
• Implement stability testing protocols under various environmental conditions to evaluate the fragrances behavior over time.
• Ensure that stability tests are performed in compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of stability test protocols test results and observations.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing the findings including recommendations for improvements or adjustments to formulations based on stability results.
• Ensure that all stability testing data is thoroughly documented and shared with the relevant teams for future reference.
• Ensure that all stability testing instruments are calibrated and functioning well and report to the relevant authorities for any malfunctioning of the instrument.
• Conduct stability studies for raw materials malodours for Development teams & perfumers.
• Prepare reports to document testing results observations and recommendations.
• Network with internal contacts (S&T and other research and development laboratories) and external contacts in order to exchange and update knowledge.
• Ability to strictly follow the Givaudan safety guidelines when handling materials and operating stability equipment during stability testing.

• Degree/Higher Education qualification in Chemistry Pharmacy Chemical Engineering or similar subject
• At least 3 years of lab experience in application lab and stability related area
• Understanding of laboratory techniques as applied to perfumery
• Knowledge of Microsoft Applications
• Fluent English
• Knowledge of good laboratory practice and safe handling of chemicals
• Technical knowledge of fragrances and relevant fragrance product categories formulation and application
• Accurate record keeping
• Olfactory ability
• Basic Chemistry and Perfumery knowledge
• Basic understanding of ISO protocols
• Demonstrated proficiency in Givaudanspecific software applications
• Basic knowledge of lab equipment and its safe usage
