Job summary
A healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to provide vital emergency medical treatment and services. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services and an Intermediate Life Support qualification, with at least 2 years of experience in emergency services. The role involves managing medical services and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring patient safety and care quality.
Qualifications
- 3 year Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services (EMT-P) required.
- Recognised Intermediate Life Support qualification (EMT-I) needed.
- Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic/Intermediate required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical service to patients.
- Ensure life support equipment is properly managed.
- Manage administration related to billing and cash handling.
Skills
Education
To provide emergency medical treatment and transportation services to patients in line with relevant regulatory authority guidelines.
- Provide a comprehensive emergency medical service to patients in accordance with all the relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure that life support equipment is in good working order and managed according to relevant guidelines and company policy.
- Ensure continuous professional development standards are adhered to aimed at ensuring a high quality of patient services.
- Manage and monitor all administration related to billing and cash handling in line with standard company policy.
- Ensure accurate record keeping practices are followed to prevent potential risk and ensure legal compliance.
- A relevant 3 year Bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical Services (EMT-P).
- A recognised Intermediate Life Support qualification (EMT-I).
- Licensed as Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic/Intermediate with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi.
- At least 2 years' experience in an Emergency Medical Services environment.
- A minimum of 1600 working hours during the last 24 months in an Emergency Medical Service position and proof of a valid driver's license.
- Client service and related management principles.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
