QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN
Job summary
A leading automotive quality assurance provider in East London seeks a Quality Control Technician to ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in quality control within the automotive industry, knowledge of VDA Core Tools, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Competitive salary negotiable based on experience.
Qualifications
- Min 3 years experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance within the Automotive Manufacturing Industry.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Relevant certifications in VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, or Quality Core Tools will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all products and processes comply with customer and internal quality standards.
- Maintain consistent product quality and compliance with customer-specific requirements.
Skills
Education
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes comply with customer and internal quality standards. This role requires a systems-driven individual with a strong background in automotive manufacturing quality systems and tools, ensuring consistent product quality and compliance with customer-specific requirements.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance within the Automotive Manufacturing Industry.
- Strong working knowledge of VDA Core Tools, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, and control plans.
- Experience in auditing, both internal and supplier-based.
- Knowledge of customer-specific requirements (CSRs) for major OEMs, including VW, Mercedes, and BMW (advantageous).
- Proficiency in document control systems, work instructions, and quality management software.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a structured, systems-oriented approach to quality.
- National Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications in VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, or Quality Core Tools will be advantageous.
