Job summary

An international company in South Africa is looking for a qualified Field Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have a Trade Test Electrician qualification and 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical fields. Responsibilities include responding to customer callouts, servicing equipment, and providing maintenance. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of electrical and mechanical experience post Grade.
  • Strong experience with PLC maintenance and fault finding.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer callouts and field dispatches.
  • Meet with customers to determine the nature of service or repair.
  • Conduct routine equipment servicing in the field.
  • Repair equipment and replace faulty parts.
  • Install and test new equipment.
  • Provide preventive equipment maintenance.
  • Provide technical training on new equipment installations.
  • Maintain equipment stock in the company vehicle.
  • Complete job reports.
