A JSE-listed group is seeking a Junior Group Legal Counsel to provide business-focused legal support. The role includes drafting commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting corporate transactions. Candidates should possess a relevant LLB, be admitted attorneys preferably, and have at least 2 years' relevant experience. Junior Group Legal Counsel / Junior Group Legal Officer (In‑House Legal)
Minimum Requirements: LLB (or equivalent). Admitted attorney (preferred). Minimum of 2+ years' post‑qualification experience (PQE), most of which has been gained in an in‑house legal environment, at a recognised law firm or within a relevant corporate environment, with exposure to commercial and/or corporate law. Working knowledge of the Companies Act, King V, JSE Listing Requirements is advantageous.
Role Purpose: Provide business‑focused legal support to the Group by drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, advising on regulatory and governance compliance and assisting with risk management for a JSE‑listed group. The role includes supporting corporate transactions, managing legal queries across business units and contributing to legal operations improvements such as contract automation and digital workflows. This position is ideal for an admitted attorney with strong commercial law grounding who wants to grow in an in‑house environment and gain exposure to listed‑company compliance and legal tech enablement.
The role supports the Group Legal Officer in managing corporate governance, regulatory matters and day‑to‑day legal operations to safeguard 4Sight's interests and enable business objectives.
