We are looking for a Resident Engineer (Structures) for a project in Cape Town.

The primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the structural aspects of the construction of a large building complex in Cape Town.

The typical responsibilities include ensuring adherence to design drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The Resident Engineer will also act as the main point of contact between the construction team and stakeholders.

2. Personal attributes :

• The successful candidate should have excellent record-keeping and QA experience, along with sound interpersonal skills to liaise with and support an office-based design team.

3. Candidate specifications :

The following specifications apply :

• Minimum academic qualification: BTech in Structural Engineering or related field
• Minimum professional registration: Pr Tech Eng
• Minimum of eight years post-registration experience
• Minimum of eight years of site experience on a full-time basis in commercial buildings with reinforced concrete and structural steel
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 and related Microsoft collaboration tools
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project is advantageous
