• Com / B.Compt
• Hons and Articles (preferable)
• Pastel
• Advanced Excel
• Caseware / Draftworks advantageous
• 3-5 years post-qualification experience
• Experience with Body Corporate / Home-Owners Association is an advantage
• Strong leadership qualities

Duties include :

• Manage a team of accountants responsible for the accurate preparation of financial records and statements
• Ensure Bank Reconciliations are accurate
• Ensure that Creditor Reconciliations are captured and accurate
• Ensure accuracy of Cashbook, Debtors invoicing, and Supplier capturing
• Determine Month End Accruals and post to GL
• Ensure Payroll Journals are posted correctly
• Calculate Monthly Provisions
• Prepare Group Reports on time and accurately
• Prepare Monthly Management Accounts
• Prepare various monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet Schedules and Reconciliations
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register, Capex in Progress, and associated Tax Registers
• Prepare and distribute month-end report packs (Income Statement, Variance Report, Cashflow Forecast)
• Prepare cash flow forecasts
• Prepare annual budgets and report monthly on variances
• Confirm Inter Company Loan Account Balances
• Load EFT payments
• Oversee Debtors, review Age Analysis (Customers & Drivers)
• Support Debtor Collections
• Enforce Debtor Policy
• Handle Petty Cash
• Ensure accurate processing of Year-End Adjustments
• Oversee Year-End Financial Closure
• Calculate Tax Provisions
• Prepare Audit Files & assist with year-end audits

Taxes

• Maintain Tax Records and Schedules
• Compile and Submit Tax Forms (Income Tax, VAT, EMP)
• Oversee Complete Tax Returns
• Submit VAT Returns
• EMP 501 reconciliation submission
