We are seeking a professional Brand Manager based in Johannesburg.
This position requires monthly travel into East Africa.
Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to manage and develop a specific brand within East African countries.
Responsibilities
- Manage the dealer network in Africa.
- Provide reports and analysis related to sales activity in the region.
- Manage the order process, including order planning between dealer network and OEMs.
- Oversee the pricing function in collaboration with marketing and finance departments.
- Participate in the sales-related budget process and target setting.
- Align marketing and sales functions.
- Ensure sales training is implemented as per the training plan.
- Conduct regular dealer visits and dealership audits.
- Review sales performance against targets and analyze market share vs. competitors.
- Monitor dealer debtors and ensure compliance with processes and limitations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies within dealerships.
- Develop action plans to improve sales volumes.
- Ensure correct model mix and manage stock aging with appropriate actions.
- Ensure staff training at dealerships is completed.
Qualifications
Matric and a 3-year Degree or Diploma.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in the Automotive and/or Motorcycle sector is essential.
- Dealership experience is mandatory.
- At least 5 years in a similar Business Development, Brand, or Sales Management role.
- Strong communication and motivational skills with natural authority.
- Confident and performance-oriented.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and staff development.
- Strong Excel skills and financial acumen.
- Understanding of profit/loss and financial performance.
