The Role
Are you passionate about empowering African creatives? Creative Nestlings Foundation is seeking a driven Sales & Partnerships Lead to spearhead resource development and cultivate strategic alliances. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the growth of Africa's creative and cultural industries.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to refine and execute a fundraising and partnership development strategy.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential funders, sponsors, and partners, including brands, corporations, government agencies, investors, and endowment funds.
- Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and materials to communicate the foundation's value and goals.
- Manage relationships with existing and prospective partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and collaboration opportunities.
- Negotiate and secure funding agreements, sponsorships, and partnerships aligned with organizational objectives.
- Work with the programs team to develop funding proposals supporting various initiatives like talks, workshops, books, incubators, and spaces.
- Represent the foundation at industry events to expand visibility and networks.
- Track and report fundraising progress regularly to leadership and the board.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in fundraising, sales, business development, or strategic partnerships within sectors like advertising, arts, culture, or non-profit in Africa.
- Proven success in securing diverse funding sources.
- Strong understanding of the African creative landscape and passion for supporting emerging talent.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinking and creative funding approach skills.
- Familiarity with CRM and digital outreach tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Existing relevant industry contacts are highly desirable.
- Passion for the foundation’s mission and values.
Additional Details
This is a remote-first, part-time, commission-only role, with potential to evolve into a salaried position with bonuses based on revenue growth. Specifics will be discussed with qualified candidates.
