Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking diligent and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistants to join our maritime hospitality team aboard luxury cruise ships. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for passengers and crew. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in cleanliness, organization, and customer satisfaction, and are willing to work in a dynamic, shipboard setting.

• Clean and maintain guest cabins, corridors, crew areas, and public spaces according to shipboard hygiene standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish amenities, and handle laundry for guest accommodations.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to supervisory staff.
• Adhere to strict cleaning schedules and shipboard health & safety protocols.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and stored properly.
• Assist with luggage handling during embarkation and disembarkation.
• Respond courteously and promptly to guest requests or complaints regarding housekeeping services.
• Participate in routine safety drills and shipboard training programs.
• Collaborate with housekeeping supervisors and team members for efficient task management.

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Able to maintain professionalism and discretion in a guest-facing role.

• Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience in a hotel, cruise ship, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Freshers with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment are also welcome.

• Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Typical work schedule: 8–10 hours per day with weekly rest hours, as per maritime labor regulations.
• Contract-based shipboard role, usually lasting 6–9 months with possible renewal.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Understanding of sanitation and infection control protocols.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
• Willingness to live and work in a multicultural, confined environment for extended periods.
