A cruise line company is seeking waitstaff to provide exceptional service onboard its ship. Responsibilities include greeting guests, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a clean dining environment. Ideal candidates have prior experience in food and beverage service and strong communication skills. Fluency in English is required, and additional languages are an advantage. Flexible scheduling is essential, including evenings and weekends.
- Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables
- Present menus and provide recommendations based on guest preferences
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Ensure tables are cleared and reset for the next guests
- Assist with setting up and breaking down tables and dining areas
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment On Board Cruise Ship
Qualifications:
-Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred
- Two year food and/or beverage service experience, preferably in a 4 or 5 star restaurant. Banquet experience preferred.
- Ability to distinguish soft drink varieties.
- Knowledge of basic buffet food items.
- Ability to apply customer service skillswhen interacting with guests and coworkers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist others
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
