Junior Mechanical Engineer
Job summary
A consulting firm in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with a BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering. Qualifications
- 2+ Years of experience in mechanical/consulting industry with project experience in mechanical/mining projects.
- Fully computer literate in MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Perform and check detailed design in accordance with standards.
- Monitor progress of construction to ensure specifications are met.
- Compile Technical Reports including technical adjudication reports.

- Perform and check detailed design in accordance with appropriate standards and specifications.
- Effectively convey current progress and problems on a project, together with the required solutions.
- Draughting of information for proposals, as directed by the lead engineer, in CAD.
- Ensure that works is executed and constructed to the drawings and specifications.
- Monitor progress of construction and ensure project built to specifications.
- Equipment selection and recommendation after detail option consideration.
- Preparation of equipment data sheets and technical packs.
- Obtain vendor pricing for estimates and budgets.
- Compile Technical Reports including technical adjudication reports
- Review of drawing office work for accuracy.
- Provide technical input to proposals as directed.
- Present proposals to Clients, as required.
