Our client is a dominant sustainable energy partner, catering to commercial and industrial customers in the Middle East and Africa.

The primary responsibility of the Engineering Manager is to oversee and guide the design team based in South Africa. This entails transforming initial system concepts into meticulously detailed designs ready for construction. Additionally, the Engineering Manager lends support to the project management team and ensures corporate assurance in all aspects of photovoltaic (PV) system engineering and technology.

• BTech / BEng / BSc Electrical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in the solar industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial position, and a background in technical consulting, EPC, or Asset Management.
• Experience working in a multinational, multi-segment environment with matrix reporting.
• Expert command of PVSYST, SOLARGIS, AUTOCAD, SKETCHUP, PVCase, HOMER Software for modeling, design, analysis, optimization, monitoring, control, and automation for PV and BESS systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems (LV / MV / HV), protection logic, and termination, as well as structural design components and solar equipment manufacturers.
• Knowledge of local authority requirements and regulations, local grid operators in respective YDE markets, National Electrical Code, and International standards.
