Purpose of Position :

• To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers / instruments in a clinical laboratory.

Requirements :

• Bachelor of Health Sciences Medical Laboratory Science, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience :

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment, Knowledge : Ampath QC procedures, Knowledge : Instrumentation and Methodologies, Knowledge : Meditech system, Knowledge : MS Windows, Knowledge : relevant pathology test procedures, Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist with Switchboard functions in order to correctly refer client requests, Assist with training client service employees to ensure competence, Implement safety and emergency procedures to ensure safe / continues working conditions., Maintain good client relations to promote the professional image of Ampath., Maintain provider and route dictionaries., Perform departmental administrative tasks.
